Macho Macho man ......................or is this a present for SA. We have arrived at Woomera JUST. The trip from Coober Pedy will rate as the scariest trip yet with gale force winds trying to blow us off the road. Luckily we didn't have a head wind or we would be back in Tennant Creek by now But, the difference between the side wind and a slight tail wind was 10 litres per 100klms, very expense trip. We have checked into Woomera for an overnighter. The town now only has a population of 300, but like a good government owned town has a fantastic swimming complex which was open, but the temp is only 20 and the winds are gusting over 100klms per hour with trees down around the town. The town also has a bowling alley, museum, heritage centre, marine center ?????? and everything else that might be needed if they decided to repopulate the place.
Tomorrow winds allowing we will head to Port Augusta, if it's toooooo windy we might just sit here and hope it blows out. As I type Miss G is a rockin and rollin, could be an interesting night.

32 and sunny in Phuket. Thailand has shown me more of its special ways of doing things (not involving go-go girls).
1 : Before applying for a long term visa you must prove you can support yourself by depositing roughly $25,000 in a Thai bank account.
2 : To open a Thai bank account you must have a long term visa.
3 : The look on the face of the Thai official as you try to explain that this makes things a bit difficult....

Hi there Bruce, there is more than one way for doing this. 1. go outside Thailand and open there a account with a Thai-bank 2. Go to your own bank there, I`m sure they have a office, and tell them that you want to transfer money to a Thai-bank and ask for help to open a account. If you don`t succeed, well, you should have a account with a swiss bank.
How macho would you fell if you had something like that in your hands ??? LOL And if you stop your own wind Miss G want be rocking all night. But its a nice excuse after eating to much of the onion soup, just blame the wind outside for rocking the caravan LOL
