Signs, signs, everywhere are signs, blocking out the scenery blowing my mind ......

Sounds like good lyrics for a song LOL. As you can see we are at Durras Beach and lake and the council is making sure that no one has any reason to sue them over not being warned. So let's look at what it has to say:

• We are in the Eurobodella Shire
• At Durras Lake (although this sign was at the beach)
• We're told to observe every sign
• Things are prohibited on the beach, is that us ? signs?  very badly worded LOL
• No camping
• No fires
• No cars
• No horses

Then there are the Hazards

• Flags !!!!!!!!
• Falling off a bubble or is that meant to be a rock ?
• Waving to friends while swimming !!!!!!
• Tsunamis !!!!!!!!!!!

They care about us - touching, but just in case something else goes wrong there is the emergency phone number, putting litter in the provided bin (didnt see any bin in our  6klm walk) and all this is bought to us by the safety beach program. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa h just makes you feel better don't it.

Back to what we got up to yesterday,we started off by kayaking the lakes which weas fantastic and the weather was just great. Unfortunately like most of the country the drought is having a big effect here, the mouth of the lakes into the ocean has now been closed for several years and the lakes are starting to suffer greatly from evaporation. We managed to peddle/sail about half the lakes the other areas were too shallow even for D'Luded.

In the afternoon we took the beach walk to the cliffs about 4klm away, strolling through some of the most beautiful clean water I have seen. Emerald green and lovely small waves, perfect. On our way back the tide changed to an incoming tide and all of a sudden blue bottles started washing up on the beach. Sharks one minuted blue bottles then next, life at the beach is always an adventure LOL.
