Winter in Melbourne

This one is a bit of nostalgia for those who have moved on from this great city. Yesterday we went to the Titanic exhibition at the museum and on the way we walked through the Exhibition gardens and this truly represents Melbourne in Winter. The plane trees are all loosing their leaves and the fountain going again after the years of drought. Bliss

The exhibition was great and if you ever get the chance to have a look it is well worth it.

The things I miss most are the practicalities. The ability to get almost anything I need quickly and easily (I don't think there is one functional pepper grinder in all of Phuket!!) But that is a big city thing rather than a Melbourne thing.
On a personal note I miss the madness of Khia and Thais running around the house. I miss the R32 and the buzz every time you strapped yourself into the drivers seat.
Do I miss a Melbourne winter? Not likely!!!!
