The hunter/Gatherers strike again

We decided that it was time that we truly should try and be totally self sufficient so off to the "Gun shop" we went. (Apparently that's where you get the things we needed !!!) After much tooing and throwing we decided on 2 throw nets and on Opera House net (mine of course) and were assured that the little yabby bliters would not stand a chance. So with the recipe book open at Yabby Bisque we headed off to the great canal where they would be lining up to taste our meaty treats. Temp 38, wind - Northerly, shade almost non existent (no one told us it would be this difficult) not even a bar insight. The bait was set the opera house slowly submerged into the sludge and Ron was a throwing and throwing but not one bite AAAAAgh must be the wrong place, so off we set for the downtown alternative, temp still 38 , wind still blowing but at least some shade. In they went again, we waited and waited some more, then the first check time arrived - One hungry turtle (pic above) that was very snotty about having his lunch interrupted and three tiny fresh water shrimp, in they went again and again and again and again. the end result was Him above 4 times, his cousin once and 3 more shrimp all of which we carefully returned to their home with the added bonus of a free feed when we gave up. We failed again.

I really like you, trying to be self sufficient and complaining because there is NO bar, LOL !!! And yabbys don`t eat the left overs, you know the ones Ron was throwing at you because he just could not manage it with his 3. set of teeth after you burnt it and attempted to serf the lot as a "Bisque de horse saddle"
But after all its good exercise to throw a net around, you may even get of your wings off, or whatever you call it, that`s hanging down on your upper arms when you stretch them out. I know, you called it muscles, but that`s a long time ago !!!!
Anyway, on Sunday we are off for a week in the mountains, but not for skiing, they haven`t skis that will hold my weight, and I don`t want to be responsible to start a avalanche LOL
