AAAAAgh the ol' Paddle steamer on the Murray pic
Today has been a real beauty, cool morning but by lunch time it was 25 and a clear blue sky. Our van site is right alongside the river and all of a sudden there was toot and along came this ol' paddle steamer so I just had to get the pic.
Sorry Hans but the Paddle steamer "Gem" is but a pale copy of its former glory. The Restaurant is gone and the interior is gutted, a very sad sight. Off to Maryborough tomorrow.

well its a shame for the Paddle steamer, but on the other hand I`m glad, then I`m not the only one that lost the former glory. Every morning the mirror tells me the same story,"" what a sad sight" !!!!
On ypur trip back to Melbourne you may pass "Devils kitchen" and find parts of Bruces Katana when he found out the bike is faster then he was, or you even may find the You Yangs hills, the ones we never found

Hi Ron & David,

Great pics of the paddle steamer. I know Paul would love a ride on one of those- any one of those. I would like the one with a restaraunt & bar.

Glad to hear you are not washed out anywhere and still finding new sights to see.

Anyway, just a little note to wish the pair of you a safe and happy Grimwald Xmas and lots of smooth road trips for your adventures.

Oh yeh, Paul and I got some of those solar Xmas lights- they last to 6:00 am the next day! We are going to get some more to put up.

Take care and stay out of trouble.

Paul & Noddy
