Salt Lake at Woomera
This is another last for 2009, the last painting on lap 2. On the way into Woomera we travelled past these huge salt lakes which had the most wonderful colours in the soil, trees, plants and of course the lake itself. I hope you like it.
Melbourne is living up to its name with cold one day and colder the next but we have been warned that 35 plus will return next week. LOL.

Just had once again a look at your paintings and I thought its time for some constructive critisem. I can see it coming, they are going write on my gravestone. "here rests in peace or not, the personal adviser of the worlds greatest painter in history DA" Even I can think of better way to get stoned, than have a gravestone on my head LOL LOL LOL Now, what i`ve done. I put "Luna Gums, Dusk at Mango and Stairway to the moon in one line as a trio. It looks just FAB. The second trio is "Hope, White man Dreaming and Stripped and Buried" Put this three together and you can sit for hours in front of them, and just let the thought flow. Believe me, I just done it, and it was only on the PC and still amazing. By the 3. I put "Ant Dance, Flagging and Re Born" together. Give it a try. But overall I think you should leave landscape alone, even they are very good, matter of fact they are so dam good that I thought its a photo. But here is the snatch. Do I really want a painting up on the wall thats looking like a Photo? Well, I prefer a painting where my fantasies can go wild, like the once we have all over the place "Sorry, not real once" from Savadore Dali. We both have been to MoM in New York and I stood only by paintings that gave me inspiration for thoughts and they can vary, depends on my mood. You have the fantasies DA just look at the painting "HOPE" . You can interpreter that in 100 ways and non of them has anything to do with a plant. You say it already with the title "HOPE" or take the painting "WHITE MAN DREAMING"
LOl HANS THAT'S NOT A VERY GOOD CRITICISM, YOU NEED TO TAKE LESSONS FROM RON HE HAS IT DOWN TO A FINE ART (NO PUN INTENDED) lol. YOU WILL LOVE THE NEXT ONE THEN, ITS DEFINATELY NO A TRADITIONAL LANDSCAPE lol STAY TUNED.
Help us thru the night, you made a self portrait. Well, that will out do even a moon landscape LOL And we thought there are enough painters, standing in front of the mirror and doing a self portrait. Nothing against self portraits, the trouble is, the artist have the mirror from snow white, and they see something very different from what everybody else sees LOL LOL
Good god no !!!!!! I cant find a canvas bigger enough LOL. No its a sunset thingy, still quite got my head around how to do it, but it looked good in the dream LOL.
